Kathleen Key Beckom, age 79, of Newnan died June 30, 2010 at her residence. Kathleen was a native of Carroll County and was one of two children born to Harvey Hayward and Mary Alice Lee Key. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Marie Wilson and her husband, W. L. Beckom. She is survived by her children, Karen "Kaye" Nutt, Terry Lee Beckom, Sr. and Darren Beckom and his wife Susan. Her grandchildren are Paige Fleming, Brian Lee Beckom, Mary-Alice Beckom (and Joel) Henson, Chafin Beckom (and Justin) Pitts, Terry Lee Beckom, Jr., Brad Beckom, Kayce Beckom, Chad Fitzgerald and Kristen Fitzgerald. Her great grandchildren are Jaidyn Beckom, Dallas Beckom, Wade Henson and Conner Henson. Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street where the family will receive friends on Thursday evening between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Udell Addison officiating and assisted by Harold Chambers.
