Katherine Evelyn Alexander, 91, of Cumberland RD, Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Spring Creek Health and Rehab. Center.
She was born in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Clarence and Alice (Hinton) Keys, a graduate of the former John Harris High School, a lifetime Member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she formerly served as a Sunday SchoolTeacher and on the Choir and Usher Board.
Katherine loved listening to gospel music and going to church.
She was the widow of Robert B. Alexander, Sr. and in addition to him and her parents was preceded into transitioning into eternal life by her three sisters, Nettie Green, Irene Armstrong and Florence Hairston and her three brothers, Roy, Robert and Charles Keys and leaves to celebrate her life, her son and daughter-in-law, Robert B., Jr. and Marlene Alexander of Camp Hill; her granddaughter, Robyn Alexander of Columbus, OH; her great-granddaughter, Lani Alexander; her nieces, Sara A. K. Mitchell, Barb Crabbe, Avis Howard and Jean Weathersby; her nephews, B. James Woods and Richard Keys and a host of cousins.
Katherine's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14th at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with visitation at 11:30 a.m. until Noon and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
