Loving mother of Cheryl Brown Nichols and son-in-law Clarence Nichols; grandmother of Kelvin, Kiyomi and Kyle; great-grandmother of Kyree and Clarise; sisters Inez Williams, Linda Keys, Diane McTier and Denice Keys; brother David Keys; family and friends. Husband Gus Blocker predeceased her in 1998. She retired in 2000 after a long career as a social worker with the Department of Human Services. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 10 a.m. until Service at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Funeral Home, 411 Pennsylvania Ave. Suitland, MD. Interment Lincoln Cemetery.
