"Margaret Buraski of Springfield passed away, Thursday, March 24, 2005, at her home, age 78. She was born April 30, 1926, the daughter of Ernest and Cora Filken Killen. She married Martin Buraski on July 29, 1950, in Springfield; he died in June 2002. Two sister, Ernestine Roscetti and Louise Hacker and a brother, Russell Killen, preceded her in death. Mrs. Buraski was a member of ST. Aloysius Catholic Church and volunteered at St. Aloysius Catholic School. She retired from the Springfield Credit Bureau after many years and worked at the Villas at Pine Creek. Surviving are daughter, Carol (husband, Paul) Harris of Rochester; two sons, Gary (wife, Marcy) Buraski of Sherman and Frank (wife, Barbara) Buraski of Springfield; six grandchildren, Scott and Justin Harris, Melissa Schaive, Rhonda and Jason Buraski and Heather Sobieski; and four great-grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Road, Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL 62711, 544-5424, where friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. Monday, with prayer services at 5 p.m. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Liebler officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to St. Aloysius School, 2125 N. 21st Street, Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL 62702.
