MAUDE MABEL (KILROY) CHRIEST - Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Chriest, 52, who passed away at her home in Tampico Saturday were held at 2 o'clock at the home Monday afternoon with the Rev. D. E. Springer, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating and delivering a message of love and faith. Two hymns, "In the Garden" and "Beautiful Isle" were sung by Mrs. Leroy Stewart and Miss Carolyn Avery. The floral offerings were beautiful tributes of love and respect. Interment was in the Tampico Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Arthur Davis, Jackie Bill Pope, Pete Bruder, Francis McCormick, Robert Kirst and Robert McCormick. Maude Mabel Kilroy was born at Tampico November 3, 1889. She was married to Charles Chriest at Rock Falls in April 1908. She was taken into the membership of the Tampico Methodist Church in 1905. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Charles, four daughters, Mrs. William Hauck of Cary, Ill., Mrs. Russell Kent of Rock Falls, Mrs. Charles Peterson of Chicago and Ida Mary of Tampico; two sons, Lester of Camp Forrest, Tenn., and Charles of Tampico; two sisters, Mrs. Mary McCormick of Tampico and Miss Mnnie Belle Kilroy of Rock Falls; six brothers, John and Robert Kilroy of Sterling, Charles of Cary, Fred of Barrington, Harry of Helron, and Leon; also seven grandchildren. A son William preceded her in death in 1936.
