Known for his aggressive physical playing style, Kilroy was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 1940s and three Pro Bowls (1952 to 1954). After retiring as a player, Kilroy served for many years as a scout and later general manager with the New England Patriots. During his college years, Kilroy was a standout player at Temple University and was inducted into their Sports Hall of Fame in 1977.
