Katherine E. (Kilroy) Kelly, 84 years of age, entered eternal life at the Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth, Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. She was born and educated in Boston. She resided in Weymouth for 24 years before moving to Seabrook, N.H., where she lived for 15 years. She was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a member of the Catholic Womens Club in New Hampshire and the Telephone Pioneers organization. She was a communicant of the Miraculous Medal Parish (St. Elizabeths Church) at Seabrook and Hampton, N.H. She was a former active parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Parish in East Weymouth. Katherine was a retired operator for the New England Telephone Company. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Kelly. She is the devoted mother of Denise F. Leavitt of East Weymouth and the late Lawrence Larry Kelly. She is also survived by four loving grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Gore of Quincy, William E. Leavitt, Jr. of East Weymouth, Thomas R. Leavitt, U.S. Marine Corps stationed in North Carolina, and James F. Leavitt of Weymouth. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad St. (opposite the U.S. Post Office in Jackson Square), East Weymouth, Friday, Feb. 19, at 9 a.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad St., East Weymouth, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be sent to the Weymouth Food Pantry, 1189 Commercial St., East Weymouth, MA 02189, or to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 2, c/o the Weymouth Heights Club, 598 North St., Weymouth Heights, MA 02189.
