Annette is survived by:
Her four sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Leslie Bowman of Richmond, VA, Stephen and Lisa Bowman of Woodstock, GA, Philip and Deborah Bowman of Marietta, GA, Edgar and Leanne Bowman of Richmond, VA
Her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Exall Kimbro and Clara Kimbro of Mt. Airy, MD
12 grandchildren
Her sister, Dorothy "Jane" Kimbro Wells Crockett preceded her in death.
Annette's life is celebrated and will be remembered as a loving mother to her children and minister's wife to her late husband, Rev. Sidney Sheltman Bowman, whom she was devotedly married to for 53 years and has been reunited with this day.
Annette was born on July 1, 1929 to Exall Law Kimbro and Lucille Elizabeth Knowles in Monticello, AR.
She attended Randolph-Macon Women's College then earned a Master's degree from Old Dominion University. Annette was an educator of children serving in the capacity of teacher and elementary school principal for over 25 years in Virginia and Tennessee. The well being and education of all children defined Annette along with her never-ending Christian faith. She will be missed and remembered with fondness.
A memorial service was held at Heritage Presbyterian Church, Acworth, GA, on Sunday, July 17th, 2011
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with Heritage Presbyterian Church and will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
