HERMON - Marilyn Kay Anderson, 68, passed away Jan. 19, 2010, with her loving family at her side at her home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 11, 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (MacKinnon) Kitchen. She was an associate member of Korean War Veterans Association Chapter No. 1 and was an amateur radio operator, an emergency dispatcher for Amateur Radio Emergency Service of Penobscot County.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Anderson of Hermon; two sons, Brian and his wife, Christine, of Crestview, Fla., and Alan of Hermon; two daughters and their husbands, Karen and Scott Wilson of Carmel and Lois and Greg Fournier of Hermon; her sister, Lois and her husband, William Phillips, of Greenbush, Mich.; grandchildren, Seth, Nicole, Jenny, Stephanie, Lauren, Tyler, Kaleigh and Garrett; and her faithful dog, Rebel. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Melvin Kitchen; her sister, Mildred Devine; and three nephews.
Interment will be this spring at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. (Bangor Daily News 1/21/2010)
