ELKO, S.C. - Services for Lulabelle Kitchings Birt, 89, will be at 2 p.m., Friday at the Folk Funeral Home chapel, Williston with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Barnwell County Memory Gardens, Reynolds Road. Memorials may be made to Elko Baptist Church or charity of ones choice. Mrs. Birt widower of Hugh Frampton Birt died Wednesday. Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late James Brantley and Bettie Fanning Kitchings. She was a homemaker, a member of Elko Baptist Church and The General John Barnwell Chapter, Daughter of the American Revolution. Survivors include two daughters, Bettye L. Birt, Mrs. Emily B. Askew both of Augusta; son, Robert H. Birt of Williston; sister, Katherine K. Jennings of Columbia; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
