She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Katherine was born in Dayton, to Vera (Lefeld) Bollheimer and the late, Albert "Bucky" Bollheimer.
She is survived by her beloved soul mate, Steve Klingler of Sidney; daughter and son-in-law, Carlie and Burton Wingate of Piqua; mother, Vera Bollheimer of West Milton; brothers and sister-in-law, Tom and Sarah Bookwalter of Centerville, and Bob Bookwalter of Cincinnati; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Ed Rudy Gray of New Lebanon, Frankie and Jim Pyburn of West Milton, Mary Adams of Dayton, Gloria Bookwalter of West Milton; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Bookwalter and special aunt, Louella Collins.
She worked as a leasing specialist at Huber Home Rentals. Katherine was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5434, American Legion Post 707, and the Eagles 3621.
A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:30 a.m. today, April 21, at the Church of the Transfiguration (972 S. Miami St., West Milton) with the Rev. John McQuarrie and the Rev. Charles Caserta as celebrants.
The family received friends on Tuesday, April 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
