I went to school with Janie at Avon High School. She graduated in 1973 and was one of the best basketball players I have ever seen. I really enjoyed watching her play and for a couple of seasons being her teammate. She ran with great speed, dribbled as good as any guy and had the agility to make a break for the basket, but could also determine when it was best to make the assist. If we'd had a track team, she would have been good at that too. She was a natural athlete.
