Leatha Jane Cole, 86, of Indiana, Pa., formerly of Kiski Township, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday (March 24, 2002) in Indiana Area Hospital, Indiana.
Born April 29, 1915, in Freeport, she lived in the Apollo area most of her life.
She was a member of Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, Spring Church.
Survivors include a son, Eugene E. Cole of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Knappenberger of Hyde Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Cole Sr.; a son, William W. Cole Jr.; her parents, Earl L. and Stella Grace Hoover Knappenberger; and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. in GERALD J. MEDICE FUNERAL HOME, 604 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Terri Swails. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Presbyterian Cemetery (AKA Fairview Cemetery), Kiski Township.
