Verna I. Bierman, 90, formerly of Lehighton R.D., died Thursday in Weatherwood, Weatherly. She was the wife of the late Theodore R. Bierman.
Born in Unionville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ellen (Helmer) Knappenberger.
Survivors: Daughter Mrs. Arletta Frey of Palmerton; son, Theodore A. of Lehighton; sister, Mrs. Laura Rehrig of Lehighton; brother, Russell of Allentown; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
