Sandra K. Barbor, 62, of Sandwich passed away at her home January 11, 2009. She was born October 10, 1946 to the late John and Velma Knox in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, she was the driving force to a grief counseling group at Our Saviors after her husband Mike's death in 11-30-2007. She was a home maker and a entrepreneur, and business woman of several home business's.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Erin) Babor of Somonauk and Alan (Heather) Barbor of Belvedere; her brothers, John (Arlene) Knox of Elgin and Charles (Denise) Knox of PA; two sisters, Phyllis (Ron) Peterson and Diana (Paul) Good both of PA; her grandchildren, Christopher Barbor and Samantha Good.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Michael.
Services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Heaney officiating. Interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery Sandwich.
