Betty Barbier, 81, died at 2:04 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at her home.
Born January 12, 1931 in Newington, Connecticut, she was the daughter of George and Yohanna Kraus.
On June 7, 1952, she married Walter E. Barbier, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Matthew Barbier; and two grandchildren, Anna Barbier and Stephen Barbier.
Surviving is a daughter, Sherrill Kerzman of Paynesville, Minnesota; two sons, Walter E. Barbier, III and his wife, Jeanie, of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Kevin Barbier and his wife, Wendy, of Godfrey; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beatrice Kraus Rankin of Newington, Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walt and Jean Barbier with New Tribes Missions.
