Gladys N. Brougher, 97, of Markleton, died Nov. 7, 2003 in Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md. She was born Feb. 9, 1906 in Kingwood, a daughter of the late Peter A. and Ida (Trimpey) Kreger. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Oscar "Shorty" Brougher, step mother Carrie (Kreger) Kreger, sisters Bertha Kreger Sanner, Elsie Kreger, Mary Kreger Schlenke, and Sara Kreger, brother George, niece Betty Sanner Mays and great nephew Kevin Johnson. She is survived by a daughter Yvonne Brougher DeLuke of Markleton, granddaughters Penny Neimiller and Pamela Noel, great-grandchildren Amy Lausterer, Candy Crow, Nicole Noel, Jadon and Anna Cramer, great-great-grandchildren Kevin Crow, Branden, Jason, and Samuel Lausterer, Noelle and Joshua Hunter, Elizabeth and Ryan Martin, a sister Abbie Kreger Sanner of Markleton and great nieces Debbie Mays, Joyce Johnson, and Carol Sue Houchard. She was a member of the Kingwood Church of God, converted Nov. 2, 1917, fellowshipped Nov. 11, 1917, and baptized June 29, 1918. At the time of her death she was the oldest living member. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence where a service will be held Mon. at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James Monticue officiating. Interment in Kingwood IOOF cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to Kingwood Church of God, 119 Humbert Road, Markleton, Pa. 15551 or Hospice of Garrett County Inc., P.O.
