Ruth M. Kreger, 77, of Gilbert, died Monday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of E. Elmer Kreger. They were married 56 years last November.
Born in West Pittston, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Levonia (Wilson) Hawk.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Gilbert, where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years.
Survivors: Husband; son, Richard of Fort Pierce, Fla.; daughter, Karen Kay Chain of Gilbert; brother, Clinton of McMichaels, Monroe County; sister, Irene Ramage of West Pittston; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
