She and her husband owned and operated a produce stand in Brodheadsville for many years until retiring. Before that, she was a registered nurse at Palmerton Hospital for several years. She was a 1931 graduate of the Palmerton School of Nursing.
Born in Gilbert, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Daisy (Koehler) Kreger.
She was a member of Zion United Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville.
Survivors: Husband; daughters, Ann Gould and Frances, both of Brodheadsville, Leah Kneebone of Springtown, Pa., and Lynda Costenbader of Kresgeville; brother, E. Elmer of Gilbert; sisters, Marguerite Wagner and Grace Schmieg, both of Allentown; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
