Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Bjorklund were held Sunday afternoon, August 18 at 3 o'clock in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Palmer, conducted by the Pastor, Rev. K. H. Tiemann, and burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Bjorklund died after a lingering illness of several years at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Her sister, Mrs. Millie Kamper of Palmer, spent the past several weeks at her home helping care for her. After her death of August 14, the body was brought to Palmer for burial...

Helen Selma Bjorklund was born to Paul and Ida Clara Kunze, March 8, 1907 at Palmer, Nebraska. Early in infancy she was received into God's kingdom of grace by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism in the Worms Lutheran Church. On June 22, 1921 she was confirmed by the Rev. Martin Jung, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church of Palmer.

She was married to Thomas O. Bjorklund on July 12, 1936. They lived in the Palmer community until 1941, when they moved to Phoenix, Arizona.

She died at her home in Phoenix on August 14, 1963 at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 6 days.

Survivors include her husband and one son, Thomas, Jr., of Salt Lake City, Utah; 5 brothers, Ted, Albert, Walter, Max and Reinhart Kunze, all of Palmer; 4 sisters, Mrs. Wm. Lautenschlager, Mrs. Millie Kamper, and Mrs. Ray Aschwege, all of Palmer and Alma Kunze of Beatrice.
