Carpentier, Virginia L. Age 86 of Minneapolis, left us to join her husband, Earl on October 10, 2006. She was born on December 2, 1919 in Columbia Heights. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; brothers, James and Norman LaBelle; sister, Evelyn Roo; and nephew, Brian. She is survived by her brother, Howard LaBelle; sisters, Marcella Archambault, Mary Lou Steiner, and Elaine Lauer; children, David (Bea), William (Linda), Diane Gunderson, Candice (Michael) Alexander; 11 grandchildren, Norm, Dale, John, Carrie Kuiken, Mark, Shelly Book, Candace Brueggen, David Gunderson, Ginny Gunderson, Nicole Tysver, Jeff Alexander; special niece, Barb Lyke; 18 great- grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; and friends. Virgie was the former proprietor of Carpentier's Kwik Shop. Virgie will be remembered for her tenderness toward her mother, her generosity toward her brothers and sisters and many family and friends. Her children will remember her for her love and kindness; and her grandchildren will remember her fun-loving vivaciousness. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1 Lourdes Pl. Visitation Thursday 5-7 PM at SUNSET COMMUNITY MAUSOLEUM, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd., Mpls and 1 hour prior to mass at the church. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
