Rosanne Margaret Laffey Fusco, of Fairway Mews, Spring Lake Heights, and Sunrise Senior Living, Wall Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. She was 93 years old.

Born in Jersey City and raised in Newark, she resided in Livingston, Orange, and Short Hills before moving to Spring Lake Heights in 1979.

She also maintained a home [at Conquistador] in Stuart, FL for almost thirty years.

Rosanne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Joseph Fusco, in 1993 after fifty-one years of marriage.

She is survived by her loving children: Rosemarie Fusco Peach (Granville) of Randolph, NJ and the Villages, FL; Joseph A. Fusco of Margate City, NJ; and Gregory Fusco (Susan) of Sea Girt, NJ.

She also leaves six grandchildren: Victoria Crociata Hurst, Caroline Van Fleet (Matthew), Stephen Crociata (Jane Bedula), Gregory Fusco Jr. (fiancé Tiffany Jewell), Michael Fusco (fiancé Mary Dughi) and Sara Fusco; and four great-grandchildren: Brian Crociata, Brendan Hurst, Evan Crociata and Dylan Van Fleet.

She is also survived by her brother Edward Laffey (Vivian) of Sayreville, NJ and twenty- one nieces and nephews. Rosanne had three brothers.

She graduated from St. Bridget's grammar school in Newark and Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in that city's North Ward, where she co-founded the Tau Beta Alpha Sorority.

She met her future husband, Anthony, in 1937. They married in 1941 and raised three children primarily in Livingston and Orange.

Rosanne served as president of the Rosary Society of the St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church in Livingston and together with Anthony, served as the founding key couple of the Cana Society at that parish.

She has been a parishioner of St. Catharine Roman Catholic Church in Spring Lake since 1979.

Rosanne was a loving wife and mother, a life-long and devoted Catholic, and a role model as a spouse and a parent. Strong, kind, committed, clear-thinking, fair-minded, sweet, feminine and pretty, she gave much more to society than she ever took from it.

Visitation took place at O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall Twp., NJ on Friday, July 5, 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake, NJ.

Entombment followed in the mausoleum at St. Catharine Cemetery in Sea Girt, NJ.
