Louise was born on May 29, 1928, to Robert and Cleopha Laffey in Pittsburgh, Pa. While working at McCoys 5 & 10, she met a young soldier, William Barr. They married in 1947 and had two children. Years later, they divorced, and she married Richard Bedore.
During her life, she was a crossing guard, became a beautician and opened her own shop. She then decided to go to nursing school and became an LPN. She moved to Billings to be closer to her kids and grandkids. She worked as a nurse at the Billings Clinic until she retired.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Art) Logan, Stan (Kathy) Barr; five grandchildren, Artie (Teresa) Logan, Julie (Iver) Cogdill, Shelley (Mike) Kraft, Stan (Rae-An) Barr, all of Billings, and Jamie Lynn Barr of Newport News, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Tad, Dayton, Halle, Gracie and Chance. She is also survived by her beloved pet and companion, Sassy.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation and fellowship on Wednesday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Michelotti-Sawyers. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Interment will follow at Mountview Cemetery.
