LOWELL -- Simone R. (Rocheleau) Laffey, a Lowell resident and wife of the late Donald J. Laffey, died Monday October 12, 2015, with her family at her side. She was 91.

Born in Lowell on March 21, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John and Alma (Levasseur) Rocheleau.

Simone enjoyed sewing and was an exceptional seamstress. She was an avid bowler and was a member of several leagues in Lowell. She was a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church, and currently St. Michael Parish.

Most of all for Simone, it was about family. She cherished taking care of her home and anyone who visited, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in- law, Carol and James Nyberg of Hudson, NH, Donna and Richard Jean, Linda and Richard Flynn all of Dracut, Sharon and David St. Onge of Lowell; a brother Maurice and Mary Rocheleau of DE; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Rita Hamel, Raymond and Gerard Rocheleau.

LAFFEY -- Relatives and friends are invited to Simone's Life Celebration at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM on Thursday. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 in St. Michael Church. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
