Orpha A. Fisher, a resident of the Canby area died Sunday, Oct. 24. She was 86. She was born to David and Ella Egli Lais on April 11, 1907 in Hubbard. She had lived from 1934 to 1936 in Kansas and for about 10 months in Central Oregon and the rest of her lifetime was spent in the Rural Dell and Whiskey Hill area near Canby.

She married Harold Fisher in 1933. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1955.

Surviving are sons: David and James Fisher both of Canby, Lowell and Adrian Fisher both of Molalla; sisters: Mary Kenagy, Lilly Berkey, Dorothy Gingerich and Vera Garber all of Hubbard, Frances Hoover and Ruth Zehr both of Goshen, Indiana, Marjorie and Evelyn Berkey both of Kalispell, Montana; brothers: John Lais of Lebanon, Frank Lais of Canby, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Monday, Oct. 25, at the Zion Mennonite Cemetery.
