Victoria married James Allen Demar on 17 May, 1864 in Woodville, Prince George's County, Maryland. They were the parents of 7 children. Several years after James died, Victoria re-married to Thomas E. Ball on 1 July 1887. Thomas died 2 years later. They had no children. After Thomas Ball died, Victoria began using the name of her first husband who was the father of her children. She died during the flu epidemic of 1919 and is buried with her son and 2 young grandsons. Although her legal name was Ball, she is included on the DeMarr gravestone since she was the mother of Clarence Howard Demar and grandmother of the 2 DeMarr children.

Ball, Victoria. Departed this life on Saturday 28 March 1919 at 4:20 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, 1257 Evart Street, Brooklyn, D. C. Funeral (private) from the above address on Tuesday, April 1. Interment at Congressional Cemetery.
