At least two of Imogene's G-Grandfathers fought in the War of the Revolution. G-Grandfather Basil Lamar fought under the command of Elijah Clark, along with two of his brothers, John and Zachariah Lamar. Her G-Grandfather, Minor Winn, as well as Minor Winn's father, John, were associated with the South Carolina Militia and both fought in the Revolution. The town of Winnsboro, Fairfield County, SC, is named for the Winn family.

From: Men of Mark in Georgia Vol 6---"On October 16, 1884, Mr. Etheridge was married to Miss Imogene Lamar, daughter of Doctor Thomas Lamar, of Americus. They have one son, William Lamar Etheridge, a live young man, who is assisting his father".
