Mrs. G. P. Estes Called by Death - Services for Macon Woman will be held Tomorrow
Funeral services for Mrs. G. P. Estes, 144 Colquitt Street, who died in a local hospital at 2:30 a.m. yesterday after an illness of only a few hours, will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 2 p.m. today. Rev. O. C. Cooper, pastor of the Powersville Methodist Church, will officiate and interment will be in the Cliett cemetery near Powersville. Pallbearers are to be Ed Smith, George Ezell, Joe Patterson, Paul Oxley, C. E. West, John Harvey and John R. Baxley. Mrs. Estes, the former Miss Mattie Grice Lamar, was born in Powersville, the daughter of G. P. Lamar and Mrs. Mollie Cliett Lamar, and had made her home in Macon for 20 years. She was a member of the Powersville Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, a brother G. A. Lamar, Powersville; two sister, Mrs. Lula Slaughter, Powersville; and Mrs. Irene Saeger, Macon.
