Jane Theo Carolyn Bartness was born on July 15, 1937 to Lloyd and Ila (Olson) Langlie in Waseca County. She graduated from NRHEG schools. On February 26, 1956 she was united in marriage to Eugene Bartness in Hartland. Jane and Eugene raised their family in Coon Rapids and Bethel. They moved to Mora in 1976 where they farmed. During that time, Jane attended Pine City Vo-Tech and earned her AA degree in accounting. Jane worked at Grand Casino, Hinckley for 15 years. She enjoyed fishing and camping, playing cards, cribbage, dice, and bingo. Time spent with family and the holidays were very special to Jane. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Kristi and husband Gary Eustice of New Richland, Kay and husband Rick Beaulieu of Forest Lake, Kathy Carpenter and friend Mike Williams of Princeton and Karen Usher of Isanti, MN; grandchildren, John and Kristin Eustice, Craig Eustice and Rachael Berg, Matt Eustice, Joe and McKenzie Beaulieu, Lisa and Jake Deiman, Sadie and Chad Jordan, Kelly Carpenter, Zachary Carpenter, Angie and Brian Thompson, and Jake Usher; 15 great-grandchildren, brothers, Stephan and (Gretchen) Langlie, Bruce Langlie, and David (Virginia) Langlie; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Kenneth Turgeon..

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; granddaughter, Jill Usher; son-in-law, Steve Carpenter; and sister-in-law, RuthAnn Langlie.
