She was born in Sumter County Sept. 12, 1918, daughter of Clifford Reid Morgan and Inez McNeal Morgan. She attended George Washington University where she met her husband Wilbur Langtry and she also worked as a secretary at the Treasury Department. For the last 14 years she had made her home in Albany and was a member of the Porterfield Memorial Methodist Church, Dogwood Garden Club and South Georgia Flower Judges Society.
