Dorothy Sue Auzston, 61, of Galveston, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 16th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 17th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with burial following at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

Born November 15, 1949, in Welch, West Virginia, Sue was loved by all. With her sparkling eyes and contagious laugh, she made friends easily. Sue loved working in her yard and worked in the lawn and garden department at Walmart. She was also employed at UTMB in labor and delivery.

Sue was preceded in death by her sisters, Sylvia Gilbert and Ramona Lowe; and brother, Curtis Lankford.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, William (Willie) J. Auzston; son, James Auzston, and wife, Deloras; brothers, Jerry, Billy, and Michael Lankford; sisters, Janet Cole and Linda Hurd; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Carol Rose.

Sue will be remembered as a woman devoted to her family, an avid animal lover, and a courageous woman with a strong spirit.
