Mrs. Adcock was the City Clerk of Roxboro for 42 years before retiring. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
Mrs. Adcock is preceded in death by her son, Charles Gary "C.G." Adcock Jr.; her brother, William Lankford; and her sisters, Ellen L. Green, Elaine L. Clayton, and Edith L. Evans.
Mrs. Adcock is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Gary Adcock; two children who she loved dearly, Barby Adcock and Bryan Adcock and wife, Amy, all of Rougemont; four grandchildren, Katie Adcock, Abbie Adcock, Sammie Jo Adcock, and Annie Adcock.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church by the Rev. Barry Chambers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
