Mary Nell Lankford Aillaud, 73, of Escondido, Calif., and formerly of Decatur, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Escondido Life Care Center.
A native of Decatur and a resident of California for more than 50 years, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Lena Ward Lankford and was preceded in death by an infant son, Boyd McKinley Bryant; two sisters, Betty Burgess and Bobbie Jenkins; and one brother, Son Lankford. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Escondido, Calif., and was a retired real estate agent for more than 25 years.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Walter "Walt" Aillaud of Escondido, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherre and Bert Grimes of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson, Henry Bryant Grimes of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Cloteen Feezel of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
