Sylvia Ann Gilbert, 52, of
Paintlick, died Nov. 29 in a
Richlands hospital following
a lengthy illness.
She was born in West Virginia
and was a daughter of the late
Curtis and Lydia Lester Lank-
ford, both Tazewell County
natives.
She had made her home in the
Richlands area most of her life
and was a member of the Cedar
Bluff Trinity Assembly.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by
one sister, Connie Lankford,
and one brother, Tommy Lank-
ford.
Survivors: husband, Bill R.
Gilbert; daughters, Kathy
Holmes of Statesville, NC,
Tracy Shepherd of Richlands;
son, Bill Wayne Gilbert of
Garden Creek; sisters, Linda

Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Hurst-
Scott Funeral Chapel in Rich-
lands with Rev. Dan Watson
and Rev. Troy Lester officiating.
Interment followed in the
Hankins Cemetery in Richlands.
