Mrs. Key was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Ruston, La., to Allen and Minnie Edwards Larance. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 42 years and was a member of Birchman Baptist Church, Telecom Pioneers and Telephone Pioneer Family Campers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy T. Herren, in 1990.
Survivors: Husband, Billy Key of Fort Worth; son, Larry Herren and wife, Anne, of Granbury; stepdaughter, Diane Hanson and husband, Terry, of Cleburne; stepson, David Key and wife, Cindy, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Mindy Gallatti of McKinney and Kerry Phelps of Plano; great-grandchildren, Breck, Brenna and Christopher; stepgranddaughters, Lauren Hanson, Natalisa Key and Becky Key; one niece; and one nephew.
