Donna Jean Larsen Beck died on January 7, 2016, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, due to complications with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 81.
Donna was born on January 27, 1934, in Bluffdale, Utah, to her parents, Martin Sylvester and Virginia Howard Larsen. She loved helping her father on their farm and working in the grocery store owned by the family. On September 4, 1953, Donna married her sweetheart, Wallace Vance Beck, in the Bluffdale Church. The marriage was solemnized later in the Salt Lake Temple.
Donna retired as the Pleasant Grove City Treasurer in 1999. A very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving many callings with her favorite being Primary chorister. Donna served in the California San Fernando Valley Mission. She loved traveling, playing bridge and hosting sleepovers with her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her daughters: DeeAnn (Rod) Fryer, Sandra (Larry) Bussio and son Kevin (Molly) Beck; her sisters, Lola and Fern; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; her son, Gary; and daughter-in-law, Lori Beck; her sister, Rosa Larsen; and her brothers: Elmer and Byard Larsen.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Bel Aire Senior living and Symbii Hospice Care for all of their amazing service to Donna.
