Carolyn Rose Barney passed away at the Highland Manor at the age of 74. She was born to Merrill and Kate Larsen. She married Clinton Verl Thorngren on June 17, 1954 in Circleville, Utah. He passed away in March, 1960. She then married William Lee Barney on September 1, 1960, in Ely Nevada. She lived the majority of her life in Carbon County, Utah. She moved with family to Elko in 2004. Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved cooking, drinking Pepsi, music, and family reunions. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a proud seamstress at Koret's of California in Price Utah from its opening day in 1968 to the day it closed in 1993, and she would sew for her family in her spare time. She is survived by her husband, William, her two daughters, Ramona (Delbert) Fiack of Elko, and Cathy (Paul) Pugliese of Price, Utah, her two sons, Dennis (Jennifer) Barney of Elko, and Wesley Barney of Price, Utah, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandchildren Sharon and Jared, and her younger brother Burt. Services will be held in Price, Utah. Viewing the night before at Fausett Mortuary 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Cleveland LDS Church at 11:00.
