WANDA J. (LE FEVRE) BAILEY
Oct. 8, 1929 - Dec. 16, 2012

If this is being printed, then I have died, passed on or over, called by the Lord, bit the dust...so pick your favorite! I am writing my own obit to save someone an unwanted chore.

I was born to pioneers of the Imperial Valley, Bill and Jeanette Le Fevre in El Centro. I had neat parents, a good life, a great husband Jim, and two healthy wonderful children, Cindy and Jimmy.

I graduated from CUHS and IVC Junior College. I worked as a telephone operator, until I married Jim on July 13, 1950, had my children, got a teaching certificate for Art from the Norman Rockwell Art Institute in 1962 and retired as a legal secretary in 1980. Jim and I lived here all our lives until 2006 when we moved to Peoria, Arizona. I missed my friends living here in the Valley these past few years; they are one of the blessings of my existence and I love all of them.

My husband Jim died in June of 2011, daughter Cindy Alexander in Aug. 1982, son Jimmy in June of 2011. I am fortunate to have known and loved each one. Jim and I were married 60 years and my Dad said that we deserved each other and others said it would not last...well, we won!! My children, Cindy and Jimmy decided to become my best friends after they grew up!! My sister Betty Stanley died in 2009. I hope that all of them saved me a seat!!

I am survived by my granddaughter, Heather Sage and her two children, Cindy and Austin of Henderson, Nevada.

I am also survived by my awesome daughter-in-law, Karen Bailey, who was married to Jimmy. She helped me so much when we lost our "boys" a week apart last June, and I just love her to pieces for that...I am saving the best seat in the house for her!!

Well, to those who knew me, they need no further information, so goodbye good friends and loved ones. See ya!!
