The son of Colonel Richard Bland Lee II and Julia Anna Marion Prosser. His grandfather was Richard Bland Lee of the United States House of Representatives, and brother of the famous Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee. Julian served the Confederacy as a Partisan Ranger with John Singleton Mosby. Julian was married to Meta Wallace Weaver and the father of five children.

1901
"Warrenton VA, May 2 - Julian P. Lee died af his home, here, this
afternoon; aged 61 years. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter.
The deceased was twice married. His first wife was Miss Weaver, sister of Mrs
Norman V. Randolph, of Richmond. His last wife was Miss Skinner, of Loudoun
county."

"Captain Julian P. Lee died at
Warrenton VA yesterday. He was the son of Colonel Richard Bland Lee and Julia A.
M. Prosser. He leaves three children - Richard Bland, Julian Prosser and Julia
A. M. Lee. His wife was Miss Skinner, of Loudoun county VA. She survives
him."
