She was born March 12, 1927, in Washington, D.C., to the late Leroy and Essie Latham Heflin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. Fitzhugh Lee.
Mrs. Lee retired after many years as manager of The Fauquier Bank’s View Tree branch in Warrenton.
She was a lifelong member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church where, she served as the pianist/organist for nearly 70 years. After retirement, she was active in the community, including serving as a volunteer at Fauquier Hospital. She will be remembered as a piano teacher.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard and Sharon Lee of Remington, Janice and Chess Heater of Catlett and Angela and Jay Keyser of Warrenton; a brother, Stanley Heflin of Bristersburg; two sisters, Dolores Goff of Catlett and Joyce Coleson of Norman, Okla., and her grandchildren, Lauren Keyser and Megan Keyser, Kimberly and her husband Paul Harney, Melissa Heater and Erika Glass.
The Rev. Gayle Porias will conduct a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Bright View Cemetery, 8265 Lunsford Road, near Warrenton. A fellowship meal will follow at the Fauquier County Fairgrounds on Old Auburn Road.
