EUNICE~ It is with great sadness that the family of Leona Mae LeJeune Amy announces her passing on Saturday, September 03, 2016 at Eunice Manor at the age of 81. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 05, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Leona was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Aubrey Amy and wife, Carolyn of Sulphur and her daughter, Donna Amy of Eunice; a loving grandmother to four grandchildren, Travis McGee, Rachel Smith, Darren Amy and Lance Amy; thirteen great grandchildren, Kieaira, Taylor, Kirsten, Travis, Natalie, Claire, Sarah, Ian, Noah, Katelyn, Isabella and Matthew; as well as extended family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Amy and her parents, Lawrence and Louisa Andrepont LeJeune.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, September 4th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, September 5th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday.
