HELEN LOUISE LEVISON HOOKS, 86, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 12, 2011 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. She was born July 2, 1624 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Helen A. (Vissi) and Phillip L. Levison.
She was a Mansfield resident most of her life. On July 3, 1947 she married Thurman Hooks and they shared 33 years of marriage before his passing on January 26, 1981.
She is survived by a brother, Laurence Laird (Phyllis) Levison, nephew, Launce Levison; two nieces, Lori Wood and Leslie Finlay; a brother-in-law, Charles (Elizabeth) Hooks; two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Marie Hooks; an aunt, Mary Eileen Levison.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law and her father-in-law, Jasper S. and Clesta Brown Hooks; and an uncle, William E. Levison.
Funeral services will be held at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Pastor Jack Sharp. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
