She was born on May 31, 1955 in Hardensburg, KY to Robert A. and Virgie Hale Lewis. She married Charles Cleghorn, Sr. on October 20, 1973 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her father. She married Harry L. Bauereiss on August 23, 2010 and he survives.
She was a resident of Buffalo, IL and was a member of Buffalo Christian Church. She retired as an EMS clerk at St. John's Hospital. Regina was a Green Bay Packers Fan.
She is survived by her husband; Harry Bauereiss, daughter; Christina L. Tremain (fiancé Rick Thompson) of Mechanicsburg, IL, son, Charles (Denise) Cleghorn Jr. of Kansas, 6 grandchildren, Abi, Travis, Cheryl, Grace, Teagan and Riley, mother and stepfather Joel and Virgie Lane of Springfield, 4 sisters Alice (Walt) Kuzinas of Springfield, Mary Lewis of Williamsville, Ann (companion Tom Thomas) Budd of Springfield, Rita (Mike) Graham of Springfield, 2 brothers Robert (companion Ann Easley) Lewis and Joe Lewis both of Springfield, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: 4-7pm Monday, December 27, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home
Funeral: 10am Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with Joseph Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Regina's family.
