Mary M. (Libbey) Bauss, 67, of Coleman, and former Midland resident, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 7, 2013, at the MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born Nov. 29, 1945, in Durand, daughter of the late John and Mary Jane (Winkler) Libbey. She attended Midland schools and graduated from Midland High School.

The former Mary M. Libbey married Robert Bauss on June 15, 1975, in Midland. She worked as a cook for the Midland Public Schools and enjoyed gardening, growing vegtables and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, William Lee Bauss of Wyoming; two sisters, Nancy Johnson of Midland and Sally Stenger of Coleman; one sister-in-law, Lindy (George) Wernecke of Saginaw; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Libbey, and an infant brother; by one sister, Wanda Hudson; and one half sister, Delores McClary.

Funeral services for Mary will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St. The Rev. Kurt Eichinger will officiate, with burial in Larkin Township Cemetery. Mary's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family.
