TUSCOLA — Wanda V. Allen, 87, of Tuscola died 9:45 p.m. Saturday (June 19, 2004) in Carle Arbours Nursing Home, Savoy.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Tuscola Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services in Hilligoss-Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola. Memorials: Illinois Masonic Home, Sullivan.
Mrs. Allen was born July 6, 1916, on the family farm near West Ridge in Douglas County, the daughter of Walter E. and Mary Alta Hackett Lincoln. She was a member of Tuscola United Methodist Church. She was a member and past matron of Tuscola Chapter 44, Order of the Eastern Star, and member of Past Matron’s Club. She was a member of the Douglas County Republican Women. She was a bookkeeper at the Douglas County Garage in Tuscola and for her husband when they operated Ralph Allen Body Shop, Tuscola. She married Ralph E. Allen on March 20, 1941, at the family farm where she was born. He preceded her in death Feb. 1, 1992.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Harold T. Lincoln and E. Leland Lincoln; and sister, Dorothy E. Fry.
