On June 26, 1863, Francis J. Lincoln of Unadilla, Livingston County, Michigan died of disease at Hampton, Virginia. He had enlisted in Co. B. of the 26th Michigan on August 21, 1862, at the age of 19 and transferred to Co. G. on December 12, 1862. A distant relative to President Abraham Lincoln of Illinois, Francis is buried at Plot # 2611 in the Hampton National Cemetery.
