LINCOLN, Frances, 53, of Roanoke, died at her home on Tuesday, April 29, 2003, after a 40-year battle with Juvenile Diabetes. Frances is survived by her husband, Donald; son, Justin of Osaka, Japan; daughter, Betsy of Norfolk, Va.; parents, Joseph and Blanca Nalaschi of Laredo, Texas; sisters, Lisa Nalaschi of Hopewell, Va. and Mary Nalaschi of Rockville, Md.; brother, Joseph Nalaschi of Old Forge, Pa.; as well as many loving friends and neighbors. Frances was an active member of the Transfiguration Parish Catholic Church in Fincastle, Va. and had a lifelong involvement in research and education concerning Juvenile Onset Diabetes. A viewing has been arranged for family and friends on Sunday, May 4, 2003, at the Oakey's East Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, at the Transfiguration Catholic Church, Fincastle, Va. with a graveside service to follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
