Mrs. J.H. Barlow - Friday, June 8 was a bright, beautiful fay for the sorrowful duty of putting Mrs. J.H. Barlow to rest in the village cemetery. A large company of friends attended to show respect for the dead and to offer sympathy for the bereaved. The services were conducted by Elder A.E. Bloom of the Advent christian church, assisted by Rev. William Hintz of the M.E. Church. The W.R.C. attended in a body and in harmony with the custom of the order when a member died, the officers read the impressive ceremony from their ritual.
Elder Bloom delivered an appropriate sermon from , "we spend our years as a tale that is told". The address was timely, suggestive and comforting.
Mrs. Nora Barlow (nee (Lindstrom) was born in Ardendal, Norway, Oct. 6, 1874, and came to America with her parents. John A. and Marian Lindstrom, at an early age. About four years ago she came to Monticello and established a Millinery business. In January 19__('04?;not clear), she was married to J. H.Barlow and lived a happy married life until her decease on June 6.
Our sympathy goes to the bereaved husband, to the aged father living at Oconto, to the sisters, Mrs. Edward O'Donnell in Idaho and Miss Emily Lindstrom of Madison.
Mrs. Barlow was an Episcopalian.
