Surviving are four daughters Joan Astrosky of St. Joseph, Il. Nancy (Jeff) Ainley of Kewanee, Joyce (Dennis) Hursman and Ellen (Bill) Clark all of Auburndale, Fl., one stepdaughter Martha (James) North of Cincinnati, Oh., a stepson Earl (Mary Ann) Dean of Kewanee, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
Shirley had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Kresge's, Bowman's Shoe Store, Adams Appliance and Photo Print. She had also managed the Fabric Store from 1971-1974 and worked as an associate at WalMart, retiring in 1989. Shirley was a member of the First Christian Church since 1969 but had attended the State Road Church the last few years. Shirley had served as pianist for the Free Methodist Church from 1985 until its closing, State Road Church, was accompanist for the former Senior Citizen Choir and played the piano at Courtyard Village. Shirley enjoyed attending the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce Concerts in the Park, embroidery and crocheting.
Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee, Il.
