Mrs. Thomas Elkins died at Roanoke August 5,1929. She was in her 88 year. She was the widow of Thomas Elkins who proceeded her to the grave several years ago. She was Mis Martha Linkous before she married Mr. Elkins. She was laid to rest by her husband Mr. Elkins in the Elkins cemetery hiwassie. She leaves to mourn her loss, three step children, J. W. Elkins, Roanoke whom she made her home with since he was married;D. Elkins, Mrs. Joe Farmer,Dublin, Mrs. Nick Duncan, Pulaski;Mrs. Linkous and children, her
son John linkous Snowvillc, James Linkous, Hastian, Va., Winton Linkous, Piluefield. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
